ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø's Moodle site (moodle.colgate.edu) is temporarily unavailable – and more sites may go down with little notice so that security patches can be applied. In the case of Moodle, our hosting provider, OpenLMS, took Moodle offline as a precaution after a security vulnerability in PHP, the software Moodle runs on, was found to be actively exploited by attackers worldwide. There is no evidence at this time that ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø's Moodle data has been accessed or compromised. Taking the site offline is a preventive step to keep it that way while a fix is applied.

Upcoming ITS System Maintenance: Aug 10th - Aug 16th

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø ITS is performing critical infrastructure maintenance from late May through June. To minimize disruption, all work is scheduled during off-peak and weekend hours, though multiple campus services will experience temporary impacts.

Starting March 31, 2026, Duo Mobile must be updated to version 4.85.0 or higher to continue receiving Duo pushes and login codes.

Mid-Term maintenance (March 17–20) will include network security enhancements, cloud migrations for web reliability, and supercomputer hardware inspections; most services remain unaffected, with brief intermittent outages limited to specialized supercomputer web portals.

Information Technology Services staff will be performing maintenance and upgrades in January. The following items are currently scheduled.

The campus phone system is scheduled for an upgrade to Zoom Phone on Friday, January 2, 2026. This modern service integrates with the existing Zoom platform and works with new physical desk phones, as well as computer and mobile apps. If you have opted to use only the desktop or mobile Zoom App, ITS will remove your current phone on January 2. This post contains important steps you can do now to prepare for the upgrade.

To ensure all ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-managed Windows computers are equipped with the latest features, enhanced security, and a more streamlined experience, ITS is rolling out an essential upgrade program beginning this July. We'll be transitioning all eligible Windows 10 computers to Windows 11 (version 24H2).
