As the Olympic flame continues its journey to London for the 2012 Summer Olympics, it will be passed to Tanya Lubicz-Nawrocka ’08, who was named to the torch relay team in England because of her efforts to inspire young people to become better global citizens.

����vlog���� staff photographer Andy Daddio was recently recognized by his peers with two first-place awards during the 2012 University Photographers Association of America awards show. The first award was first place for photography for the ����vlog���� viewbook. Each year the viewbook is filled with imagery that tells the story of ����vlog����. The university’s Trudy Fitness Center recently was recognized for its green technology and energy efficiency, receiving a gold LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Professor Julia Martinez is looking forward to July 4, but it’s not necessarily because of the barbecues or fireworks.
